Citadel Contrast: Black Legion (18ml) 
A deep, high-impact black Contrast paint that delivers basecoat + shading + highlights in one go—awesome for fast black armour, cloth, weapons, and any “dark” scheme where you still want readable detail (not a flat dead black).
 
What it does
One-coat Contrast effect: flows into recesses for natural shading while leaving raised areas cleaner.
Water-based acrylic formula (easy cleanup, easy control).
Great for quick “black without the pain” on textured surfaces (chainmail, fur, straps, ribbing).
 
How to use
Prime with a light Contrast undercoat (the brighter the undercoat, the more definition you’ll keep).
Apply a generous coat, then wick away pooling on flat plates before it dries.
Once dry, add a quick edge highlight (dark grey) if you want a sharper “armour” finish.
