A staple black Contrast that gives you basecoat + shading + highlights in one pass—ideal for fast black armour, cloth, weapons, and “dark” schemes where you still want details to read clearly (not a flat dead-black).
 
What it does
One-coat Contrast effect: flows into recesses for natural shadows while keeping raised areas cleaner.
Water-based formula, easy cleanup and simple thinning for glazing.
Perfect for textured areas (chainmail, straps, ribbing, fur) and quick tabletop-ready results.
 
How to use
Prime with a light undercoat (Contrast works best over bright primers).
Apply a generous, even coat and wick away pooling on flat panels before it dries.
Let it fully dry, then add a quick edge highlight (dark grey) if you want a sharper, “armour” finish.
