AK Weathering Pencil – Chipping Color (AK10016)
A purpose-made tone for paint chips and worn edges—the kind of “middle” color that helps chips look real without jumping straight to bright metal or pure black. Water-based and blendable, so you can place chips precisely, then soften or adjust them with a damp brush.
 
What it does
Creates realistic paint chipping on edges, corners, and high-contact areas
Adds worn “underlayer” tones before you highlight with metallics
Helps build layered damage (primer → chipping → bare metal) with control
 
How to use
Apply small marks on a matte surface, focusing on corners and raised edges.
Blend lightly with a slightly damp brush to turn hard marks into natural scuffs.
Layer over it with metallic pencil (Aluminium/Dark Aluminium) for fresh scratches if needed.
 
Best for
Vehicle edges, sci-fi armor corners, hatches, tools, industrial terrain, crates, grimdark weathering.
