Citadel Base: Daemonette Hide (12ml)
A rich, muted purple-brown Base paint with excellent coverage—perfect for shadowy skin tones, dark leather, cloth, and “Slaanesh / gothic” palettes where you want depth without going straight to black.
 
What it does
Lays down a solid basecoat thanks to a high pigment count.
Dries to a smooth matt finish, ideal for later shading and highlights.
Designed to cover well over black or white undercoats (great as a reliable foundation colour).
 
How to use
Prime your model.
Apply 1–2 thin coats for the cleanest, smoothest coverage.
Shade recesses (purple/red-brown shades work beautifully), then layer highlights by mixing in a little bone/off-white for worn, organic highlights.
 
Best for
Shadowy skin (daemons, vampires, bruised/alien tones)
Leather, straps, cloaks, cloth with a dark “luxury” undertone
Undercoating areas you’ll later push toward magenta/purple highlights
