AK Weathering Pencil – Dark Rust (AK10020)
A deep rust-brown tone for old oxidation, heavy rust shadows, and corroded metal depth. Dark Rust is ideal for the darkest part of rust effects—then you can brighten the hotspots later with lighter rust/orange tones.
 
What it does
Creates realistic old rust in recesses, around bolts, and under chipped paint
Adds depth to corrosion when used as the “shadow” layer of rust
Works great for rust streak starts and heavily weathered industrial surfaces
 
How to use
Apply on a matte surface in corners, recesses, and around details.
Blend with a slightly damp brush to soften into natural oxidized staining.
Layer with Medium Rust / Vivid Orange on top for a full rust gradient.

Rusty machinery, industrial terrain, vehicle wear, chain and hinge areas, corroded weapons, ship/harbor scenery.
