What it does
Formulated for crisp highlights and building up layers over Base paints.
Dries to a smooth matt finish for tidy, readable results.
Water-based acrylic in a 12ml pot.
 
How to use
Apply over a darker grey/black basecoat.
Thin slightly and build up 2–3 thin layers on edges and raised areas.
For stone/rubble, drybrush lightly after shading to bring texture out.
 
Best for
Rocks, ruins, concrete, and grey basing
Edge highlights on black armour (a clean “charcoal highlight” step)
Neutral cloth, straps, weapons casings, and weathered panels

ChalkyDot Tip: If you’re highlighting black, keep Dawnstone only on the sharpest edges (thin lines). Big grey areas make black look “grey,” but tiny highlights make it look crisply black.
