What it does
Water-based acrylic colour designed for miniature figures (fantasy & wargames).
Newer Game Color formulation is described as smoother, more fluid, opaque, and highly pigmented for bright, stable colour.
Matte finish + self-levelling helps reduce visible brushstrokes.
Dropper-bottle format helps you dispense small, controlled amounts and reduces drying out in the bottle.
 
How to use
Shake well.
Apply with a brush in thin coats for the smoothest finish.
For airbrush use, dilute appropriately.
Let dry, then deepen shadows with a wash and re-layer highlights for a richer “gory” red.
 
Best for
Blood-red armour panels, capes, banners, leather straps
Monsters/daemons, gore details, seals & wax, “grim” red accents
Mixing into reds to push them darker without turning brown
 
 
ChalkyDot Tip: For a “fresh blood” look, base with Gory Red, shade the deepest recesses with a dark red/purple wash, then add tiny edge highlights by mixing a touch of bone/off-white into Gory Red—small highlights make reds look wetter and richer without going pink.
