AK Gouache – Grime
A dirty grey-brown gouache made for general grime, streaks, and built-up dirt on vehicles, terrain, and miniatures—with full control because it can be adjusted with water.
What it does
Creates realistic grime buildup in recesses, around bolts, vents, and panel lines
Perfect for streaking and “dragged dirt” on vertical surfaces
Dries matte and can be softened or reworked with a damp brush for natural transitions
How to use
Apply in targeted areas: recesses, edges, around details, and lower panels.
Blend with a slightly damp brush to soften borders or pull it into streaks.
Once dry, re-activate with water to refine, lift excess, or add more variation.
Best for
Vehicles and mechs, sci-fi armor panels, industrial terrain, ruin walls, engines/vents, grimdark basing and weathering.

ChalkyDot Tip
Grime looks best when it’s selective—hit the “collection points” (recesses, lower edges, around bolts) and keep the big flat areas cleaner for contrast.
