Citadel Base: Kantor Blue (12ml)
A deep, rich navy blue basecoat with excellent coverage—ideal for classic Space Marine blues, night-sky tones, deep cloth, and “cold” shadow foundations that you can highlight up fast.
 
What it does
Provides a solid basecoat thanks to a high pigment count (Base paints are made for coverage).
Dries to a smooth matt finish for clean layering and neat highlights.
Great “shadow blue” for building quick gradients into lighter blues and blue-greys.
 
How to use
Prime your model.
Apply 1–2 thin coats for the cleanest coverage (avoid one thick coat).
Shade recesses for extra depth, then layer/edge highlight with lighter blues or blue-greys.
 
Best for
Deep blue armour (Ultramarines-style schemes), cloaks, tabards, banners
Night themes, deep shadows under brighter blues
Cold stone accents and “navy” cloth tones
