AK Weathering Pencil – Light Rust (AK10022)
A lighter rust tone for fresh oxidation, bright rust edges, and early-stage corrosion. Light Rust is perfect for bringing rust effects to life after you’ve placed darker rust in the recesses—use it on outer edges and “hot spots” for a realistic rust gradient.
 
What it does
Adds bright rust highlights on chips, scratches, and exposed metal edges
Creates fresh rust tones around bolts, seams, and thin streak starts
Works as the “top layer” over Medium/Dark Rust for depth and variation
 
How to use
Apply on a matte surface on edges and raised areas.
Blend with a slightly damp brush to soften into natural rusty staining.
Layer lightly—keep it selective so the rust looks random and real.
 
Best for
Rust hotspots, edge corrosion, bolts and rivets, vehicle wear, industrial terrain, pipes, ruined metal props.
