AK Weathering Pencil – Medium Rust (AK10021)
A balanced rust tone for general oxidation, rust chips, and classic weathered metal. Medium Rust is the “main” rust color that sits between dark corrosion and bright fresh rust—perfect for most day-to-day rust effects.
 
What it does
Creates believable everyday rust on edges, scratches, and exposed metal areas
Adds warm rust staining on panels and around rivets/bolts
Works as the bridge tone between Dark Rust and brighter orange rust highlights
 
How to use
Apply on a matte surface on chips, edges, and rust-prone areas.
Blend with a slightly damp brush to soften into natural stains.
Build up in layers, then push contrast with Dark Rust (shadows) or Vivid Orange (hotspots).
 
Best for
Vehicles, industrial terrain, weapons and tools, chains, gates, pipes, grimdark basing, ruined metal props.
