Citadel Base: Naggaroth Night (12ml) – 2019
A deep, shadowy purple-black base paint that lays down a strong, smooth foundation fast—perfect for dark cloth, armour shadows, and rich purple schemes.
 
What it does
Gives a solid basecoat thanks to a high pigment count (excellent coverage).
Dries to a smooth matt finish.
Made to be the “first layer” in the classic Citadel painting method (base → shade → layer).
 
How to use
Prime your model (black for deeper shadows, light primer if you want the purple to read brighter).
Apply 1–2 thin coats for the cleanest finish (avoid one thick coat).
Shade with a dark wash if you want extra depth, then highlight with lighter purples/grey-lilacs.

Dark robes, leather, cloaks, armour undersides
Purple schemes (Drukhari, Chaos, vampires, “night” themes)
