AK Weathering Pencil – Rubber (AK10034)

A dark “tire” tone for rubber parts, worn tires, belt scuffs, and flexible material shading. Rubber is ideal for painting and weathering areas that shouldn’t look like pure black—perfect for realistic wheels, seals, grips, and rubberized armor details.

What it does

  • Adds authentic rubber color on tires, tracks pads, grips, hoses, and seals

  • Creates worn tire edge scuffs and road-dust-ready surfaces

  • Great for subtle shading on black parts without turning them into glossy “toy black”

How to use

  • Apply on a matte surface (or matte-varnish the area first).

  • Blend with a slightly damp brush to soften and even out the tone.

  • Add lighter scuffs by reducing pressure and focusing on raised edges.

Best for
Tires and wheels, track rubber pads, weapon grips, hoses, seals, cables, boots soles, industrial props.

Key details

  • Water-based
  •  Highly controllable
  •  Blendable with water
  •  Easy cleanup
  •  Best results on matte finishes.

ChalkyDot Tip
For realistic tires: use Rubber as the base, then add tiny edge scuffs and finish with a dust tone near the ground contact.
