AK Weathering Pencil – Sepia (AK10026)

A warm brown tone for shading, grime, aged staining, and classic “wash” effects—but with pencil control. Sepia is fantastic for adding depth to light colors, giving cloth and leather a lived-in look, and warming up highlights without turning them grey.

What it does

  • Creates natural brown shading in recesses and around details

  • Adds aged stains on cloth, parchment, leather, and bone tones

  • Works as a soft grime layer on stone, wood, and weathered surfaces

How to use

  • Apply on a matte surface where you want shadows or stains.

  • Blend with a slightly damp brush to turn marks into smooth gradients.

  • Build slowly—sepia looks best when it’s subtle and layered.

Best for
Leather pouches, cloth folds, parchment/scrolls, bone and ivory, warm shading on minis, terrain staining.

Key details

  • Water-based
  •  Highly controllable
  •  Blendable with water
  •  Easy cleanup
  •  Best results on matte finishes.

ChalkyDot Tip
Try Sepia as a “controlled wash”: draw it into recesses, then feather it out with water for instant depth.
