What it does
Creates a stormy blue tone with natural contrast in a single application.
Works especially well over white or grey primer, where the color can build instant highlights and shadows.
Ideal for cloaks, robes, armor panels, magical energy, sea creatures, monsters, and cold fantasy schemes.
Can be used for soft shading, contouring, glazes, filters, and blending transitions.
Can be mixed with other Xpress Colors or diluted with Xpress Medium to create custom shades and softer effects.
 
How to use
Prime or basecoat the miniature in white or light grey.
Shake the bottle well before use.
Apply with a brush and let the paint flow into the recesses naturally.
Avoid overworking the surface while it dries to keep the contrast smooth.
For softer results, dilute with Vallejo Xpress Medium.
It can also be used with an airbrush for filters, tinting, and smooth color effects.

Use Storm Blue over a white or light grey zenithal prime for instant cold shadows and glowing blue highlights. For magical cloth or icy armor, add a final edge highlight with a pale blue-grey; for deeper ocean or night effects, glaze a second thin layer into the lower shadows.
